Anime for spring 2009

With the spring season for 2009 approaching and with the current batch of anime I’m blogging nearing an end, I’m looking for new anime series to blog about (and watch, of course). Going through some of the previews around the World Wide Web such as the one by hashihime, I think I’ll be blogging about two of the following anime shows, while watching some of the rest:

Phantom ~Requiem for the Phantom~

I had played the DVD player version of the game a long time ago and really liked it. Some part of me doesn’t want to watch it: it wants to avoid seeing a plot route other than its ideal one being followed, or the story mangled and tainting its impressions of the game. I wonder how BEE TRAIN would handle an anime where the gun-toting protagonist isn’t a young girl (there would still be enough gun-toting young girls, though).

Ristorante Paradiso

Looks like it would be a nice and relaxing slice-of-life show, and I’m in the mood to blog something relaxing.

Hanasakeru Seishounen

I read the manga a long time ago and liked the story, but I’m not sure if I want to write about the anime. I’ll just say that while the story is centered around a girl named Kajika and the men that are candidates to be her husband (not necessarily willingly: it’s the father who selected the candidates), Kajika is too strong-willed that she wouldn’t marry any of the candidates or not marry anyone at all if it wasn’t what she wanted.

Then again, the anime could be very different from the manga …

Shangri-La and Eden of The East

The plot summaries I’ve seen make it sound that they’re either going to be awesome or incredibly crappy, with no possibility for them to be in-between. I’ll just have to watch the first episodes to gauge how things may go.

Looking forward to Ristorante Paradiso. Looks very good for a slice-of-life anime.

Please do Shangri-la. That show, after looking it over again, is going to be a sure hit I know. Although Murata Range and Gonzo project is a bit risky. I don’t know about past projects but let’s hope this one hits the spot with most.

The fact that May’n is singing for Shangri-la is definitely tempting me … :>
